Cultural Exchange Opportunity this Summer!
Host families are WANTED for a group of 30 Italian high school students that will be coming to the Roseville area for 2 and 1/2 weeks this summer, July 21 - August 9 with non profit, EF Educational Homestay Programs. Students are supervised by EF staff weekdays with students attending English language and American culture lessons at a Roseville location (TBA) in the morning. They attend organized cultural activities in the afternoons with all afternoon transportation provided by EF. Host families are invited to join us in these activities!
Host families are asked to open their homes and hearts with a place at the table, an available bed, and transportation to and from the course center. Students do not need their own room. EF can provide a temporary bed for a host family that has the space, but is in need of an extra bed. A network of host families is developing to coordinate car-pooling to and from the school every day if needed. This network additionally enjoys the camaraderie of summer time BBQs, trips to the beach etc., to heighten the cultural exchange and community experience our programs create. Students speak English, come fully insured, and bring their own spending money.
Last year students and their host families got to experience trips to San Francisco, LA, Six Flags and even got to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger when touring the capitol. If you'd like to make a lifetime cultural connection and have an amazing experience with an exchange student this summer, please contact your local program leader, Stacey McCulloch at 916-316-5311 or email at stacey.mcculloch@gmail.com
