On Thursday, March 11th, you have the chance to hear a blues legend. There are many great blues artists performing around the world. But, two things to keep in mind, how many blues artists have roots that go back to the Mississippi cotton fields, Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlin' Wolf , Muddy Waters, Chess Records, and the like? And, how many of the great blues players will perform locally?

Now is your chance! Grammy award winner James Cotton, a.k.a. “Superharp,” will perform at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley on Thursday, March 11th. 74 year-old James’ blues credentials rank up there with B.B. King and Buddy Guy.

The show by Paul Emery presents and sponsored by the Sierra Blues Society starts at 8:00 pm and costs $25.

This is an opportunity that doesn’t come along very often and one that any blues fan will someday regret if they miss. I strongly encourage you to get yourself out of the house this Thursday, and check out the great harmonica master - James Cotton!
